Mental Health in the Workplace Training

Leaders, supervisors, and team members play a vital role in addressing mental health and distress, as well as promoting social connectedness in the workplace. Strong social connections at work enhance mental health. A workplace that cultivates a robust culture of health and well-being is one that not only promotes the mental well-being of workers but also actively safeguards their mental health and avoids causing harm through negligence, recklessness, or deliberate actions.

Several options are available to benefit businesses of all sizes and in all sectors by empowering employees with mental health awareness tools and skills.  All training is customizable for your organization or event.

  • Mental Health First Aid for Adults (Workplace) - Mental Health First Aid is a workplace safety, well-being, and culture strategy.  Virtual or In-person.
  • #Breaking the Stigma at Work - Overview of MHFA offerings within a work environment.

Why Mental Health First Aid?

Are you or your employees prepared to help a colleague experiencing mental health challenges?

A staggering 40% of employees reported that their jobs have had a negative impact on their mental health, and 75% of employees indicated that stigma was present in their workplaces. These numbers continue to rise and can have a direct impact on team members’ overall wellbeing and engagement, productivity and retention in the workplace.  Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) takes the fear and hesitation out of starting conversations about mental health challenges by providing an action plan that teaches employees to identify and address a potential mental health or substance use-related crisis.

Evidence Based Training:

Mental Health First Aid is a certification training that teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health challenges and substance use disorders. This training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use challenge and connect them to help.  A survey of U.S. workers showed that 1 in 5 rate their mental health as fair or poor, resulting in four times more unplanned absences. When employees feel that their employers care about their overall wellbeing, they are three times more likely to be engaged at work. Create healthier, more engaged employees with Mental Health First Aid (MHFA).
