Workplace Mental Health Training
Invest in the well-being of your team and create a safer, more supportive work environment with Workplace Stress and Mental Health training. Managers aren’t counselors, but they are key connectors in the workplace. One misconception about mental health in the workplace training is that it tasks managers with fixing employee problems. That’s not the goal. However, they do need training on how to listen and a way that creates a culture of wellness. They need to know how to connect people with the right resources and learn to manage their own mental health. Engage the leadership team and review the organization’s stance on mental health. Implement and revise any current mental health initiatives/strategies. Talk to your leadership team about mental health: Basic training in mental health promotion doesn’t involve a graduate degree, nor is it intended to turn managers into therapists. It is just awareness and human relations 101: How to be kind, how to listen, what to look out for, and how to create an environment of emotional or psychological safety.
